We are a small, family-run business. Sara Mathews and Molly Grant learned the cordwainer craft from Paul Mathews. Making shoes came naturally to Sara who learned many shoemaking skills at an early age. Sara and Molly have worked together alongside Paul since 1992.

Molly Grant has been a leather artisan since 1983, and was state juried for handbags in 1998. She met Paul at her first Annual Craftsmen's Fair and has worked steadily with him ever since. Sara and Molly are very proud to be partnered as cordwainers in the League of NH Craftsman and look forward to showing their shoes in the League shops throughout New Hampshire.

"Cordwainer" is a shoemaker - the term originated among boot makers in Spain.
